Wave Therapy
Whole body vibration at 9.5 Hz with a kinesiologist beside you. WBV is resistance training that causes muscles to activate quickly while also increasing blood flow, easing back and joint pain, and rebuilding balance, strength and mobility.
What is the Wave?
Whole body vibration started with high-frequency, vertical platforms. Those early machines produced minimal results and felt harsh and uncomfortable (Mester, 1999).
The Wave uses high-velocity resistance training at 9.5 Hz with 15 to 18 mm of movement. The platform oscillates, which makes for a much smoother and more comfortable session.
What does the Wave do?
The platform moves fast enough to load your joints, bones and muscles while you simply stand on it. The motion mobilizes your hips, which helps ease low back pain, and wakes up your nervous system so you get stronger and steadier.
You start with body weight exercises and add weight as you progress. Research has also linked regular whole body vibration to less pain, lower blood pressure and better bone density.
Why the Wave works.
High-velocity vibration places controlled load on joints, bones and muscle, which increases blood flow and activates the nervous system more directly than standing still. Research on whole body vibration has shown improvements in muscle strength, flexibility and hip mobility, along with lower blood pressure, when used consistently.
A short session can ease the tension of a long day at a desk.
Benefits of Wave therapy
Stronger, looser and less sore.

More blood flow and energy
A short session on the Wave can leave you re-energized after a long day. Studies show whole body vibration can help lower high blood pressure.

Muscle tone and strength
Body weight exercises are amplified on the platform, so workouts are quicker and more efficient. Research shows real strength gains even in people who were not active before.

Less low back pain
Long hours at a computer tighten the hips and strain the low back. Research shows whole body vibration improves hip flexibility, which can help ease that pain.
What it helps with
- Back and joint pain
- Balance
- Strength
- Flexibility and mobility
- Bone and cartilage improvements
- Stress
- Inflammation reduction
- Blood pressure regulation
- Cognitive improvements
- Bone density support
What to expect
30 minutes, focused
A single session combining vibration training with stretching, prioritized together.
One-on-one supervision
A kinesiologist supervises every session, adjusting intensity and monitoring your form throughout.
Two to three 30-minute sessions a week
This is the frequency associated with the strongest outcomes in whole-body-vibration research.
Stretching is prioritized
Every session includes dedicated stretching alongside the vibration training, because flexibility supports everything else the treatment is doing.
Covered by insurance
All major insurance, VA, Tricare and Medicare. Cash pay welcome. We verify your benefits for you.
Frequently asked questions
What does a session involve?
30 minutes combining vibration training at 9.5 Hz with stretching, with a kinesiologist working with you the entire time.
How often do I need to come in?
Two to three sessions a week is the cadence associated with the best outcomes.
Is it covered by insurance?
Yes. All major insurance, VA, Tricare and Medicare.
What conditions does it help with?
Back and joint pain, balance, strength, flexibility and mobility, plus research-supported benefits for blood pressure and inflammation.
From a referring physician
“My patients rave about how they feel with this therapy. For many patients with anxiety, ADHD, pain and other conditions, I found it very helpful to objectively assess EEG abnormalities and communication between different areas of the brain. I also felt relieved that I was able to order a treatment that did not require medication. They provide both diagnostic and therapeutic services for my patients. I feel [the team] provides a quality service that I have not been able to find anywhere else.”
